Tracks identified by TrackRadar now include a direct Bandcamp link alongside Spotify whenever a match is found. For the thousands of independent artists, small labels, and underground producers who release exclusively on Bandcamp, this means their music is finally discoverable through DJ content analysis.
Why Bandcamp Matters for Music Discovery
If you follow DJs who play underground electronic music, you have probably noticed a pattern: many of the best tracks simply are not on Spotify. They live on Bandcamp — released by small labels, self-published by producers, or distributed as limited digital editions.
Before this update, TrackRadar would identify these tracks but could only link to Spotify. If the track was not on Spotify, you were left with a name and no way to listen or buy. Now, TrackRadar searches Bandcamp automatically and adds a direct purchase link when available.
How It Works
When TrackRadar identifies a track from an Instagram post, SoundCloud mix, or vinyl record photo, it searches multiple platforms simultaneously. Spotify and Bandcamp searches run in parallel — so you get results from both platforms without any extra waiting time.
The Bandcamp search uses multiple matching strategies to handle the variations in how artists and labels list their releases. If the exact title does not match, TrackRadar tries alternative formats — removing remix tags, searching by artist alone, or broadening the query — until it finds the right release.
What This Means for You
For DJs: When you discover a track through another DJ's Instagram post or SoundCloud set, you can now buy it directly on Bandcamp. Many tracks are available as high-quality WAV or FLAC downloads — perfect for DJing.
For music fans: Support the artists you discover. Bandcamp pays artists a higher percentage of each sale than any other platform, and on Bandcamp Fridays, 100% of the purchase goes directly to the artist.
For crate diggers: Underground and independent releases that never make it to streaming platforms are now discoverable through TrackRadar. Combined with our vinyl record identification, you can photograph a record, identify the tracks, and find which ones are available on Bandcamp.
Coverage and Accuracy
In our testing, Bandcamp integration adds links for 40 to 60 percent of tracks that are missing from Spotify. This is especially significant for genres like techno, house, ambient, and experimental electronic music, where Bandcamp is often the primary distribution platform.
The matching accuracy is on par with our Spotify integration — using the same intelligent matching algorithm that handles variations in track titles, artist name formatting, and remix credits.
